Frequently asked questions
Will it hold on rough roads?
Yes — strong magnet arrays / locking clamps are rated for potholes and speed bumps.
Will it overheat my phone?
Our cooled mounts actively pull heat away, keeping full charging speed even with navigation in summer.
Does it work with a case?
MagSafe-compatible cases work directly; other cases need the included magnetic ring.
🔬 Gearyx Tested — our hands-on take (written by the Gearyx team, not a customer review)
Summer test on a dashboard in direct sun: a phone running navigation stayed cool enough to charge at full speed for the entire 2-hour drive — the fan makes an audible but soft hum you stop noticing. The magnets held through Dutch speed bumps without a twitch.
Questions & answers — answered by the Gearyx team
Will it drain my battery when the car is off?
No — it only draws power when the socket is live; most cars cut 12V/USB power at ignition off. — Gearyx team
Does the fan get loud?
It's a soft whir, quieter than your AC on level 1. You'll hear it only when parked. — Gearyx team
